In 2004, James Webber co-founded the Hope, Unity, and Freedom Center with Jo Ann Kistner. James Webber is a proud native of Richmond, Virginia and former member of the United States armed forces. A dedicated and proven leader, Mr. Webber is a very ambitious individual that collaborated with Jo Ann Kistner and pursued the goal of the development of a Psycho-Social Program while still active as a full-time student at ECPI College of Technology where he received a B.S degree in Networking Technology. Mr. Webber’s vision of having a Psycho-Social Program in Richmond has now grown to the HUF Center having 5 active facilities in the state of Virginia.
Professionally, Mr. Webber worked for Meade-Westvaco with quality and production teams. A highlight in his career came in 1995 with his dedication to helping Meade-Westvaco achieve ISO 9002 accreditation.
ISO standards are based on international consensus among the experts in the field. Consensus technology evolves and ISO takes account for both the evolving of the technology and of the evolving interests. This standard is required a periodic review every five years at minimum to decide whether they should be maintained, updated or withdrawn. ISO standards retain their position as the state of the art. ISO standards are technical agreements that provide the framework for compatible technology worldwide. They are designed to be globally relevant and useful in all parts of the world. Following his work with quality assurance and production, James moved on to becoming the Safety and Quality Assurance Coordinator. James implemented and revised safety and quality assurance procedures, trained personnel, and performed internal audits for production facility employees so that the ISO 9002 Accreditation was maintained.
Mr. Webber has used some of his previous talents and skills in quality assurance to assure that the clients served at the H.U.F. Center are receiving the best quality mental health services. Throughout the Hope, Unity, and Freedom Center’s growth, Mr. Webber has been a visible leader who has displayed a great compassion and interest for the clients and the community that are served.
