HUF PROGRAMS
OVERVIEW OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
Contract Services are utilized to provide services to individuals with disabilities or medical conditions
requiring treatment that is outside of the scope of the program. For example, oxygen equipment would be
provided by a medical equipment provider to an individual client with this need.
Mental Health Group
The goal of the mental health group is for participants to develop an increased understanding of their mental,
emotional, and behavioral illnesses and to demonstrate a greater role in the effective management of those
conditions over a significant period of time.
Community Awareness Group
The goal of the Community Awareness Group is to enhance the development of personal judgment and
reasoning regarding appropriate and safe behavior in the public community and to demonstrate this
development over a significant period of time.
Life Skills Groups
This is set of groups designed to provide the participants with the self-awareness, motivation, support, and
constructs necessary to maintain adequate life skills. Groups will address areas of personal hygiene, nutrition,
and finances.
Social Skills Group
The goal of the social skills groups is for participants to develop the problem solving skills, judgment, and
boundary awareness to interact appropriately and positively with others.
Occupational Development Group
The goal of this group is to allow participants to explore their readiness for employment and the development
of the motivation, impulse control, judgment, and interpersonal skills necessary for successfully maintaining
employment.
